Photographing lakes is a favorite subject for every landscape photographer. Think about one of those North American lakes surrounded by wild forests and snow capped mountains or some European lakes where picturesque and tiny villages reflect into. Probably, the mountain lake reflection is the image most landscape photographers aim to.
The most significant rule in desert photography is: deserts need to be photographed in the early morning or late afternoon light. This because much of their detail and texture is subtle and can be lost if you take pictures when the sun is higher in the sky and consequently light is much stronger.
